When my favorite recipe site, 365daysofcrockpot.com said - "our family's favorite" I just had to try it. Its a total winner! I used the Instant Pot method of course but the slow cooker is available too.

Not only can I prepare healthy, well rounded meals for our family in short order but I can cook the meat FROZEN for all the times I forget to defrost ahead of time. We have no air conditioning in our old house built in 1790 so having a way to cook a nice meal without heating up the house is another bonus.
On this page I would like to share some of our favorite recipes (not always created by me) made with our own meats and produce from the farm. Most of the ingredients are staples in your own pantry. Here are two things I made this week and tonight I'm making pulled pork with homemade hoagie rolls (sorry those aren't as easy) so I'll let you know how that goes. This first recipe I've made numerous times and is always a hit! Instant Pot Enchilada Soup. https://www.365daysofcrockpot.com/instant-pot-chicken-enchilada-soup/ This one I tried for the first time this week and its a keeper! Garlic Parmesan Chicken https://www.365daysofcrockpot.com/slow-cooker-garlic-parmesan-chicken/ There is a slow cooker and instant pot version in case you don't have an instant pot. (Note, for slow cookers, I always add tapioca to slow cookers to remove the slow cooker flavor that occurs that makes everything start to taste the same. We have not had that experience with the instant pot.) Bon appetite! |
